A music lecture series by Steppin Into Tomorrow, diving into different artists, their career and the social and cultural climate they existed in. The final one of the year will be about the late Sly Stone: Black American musician and pioneer of psychedelic prog-soul. He developed progressive soul as a musical vehicle to raise criticisms about the living conditions of Black people in the US, inspired by his Black American experience, left-wing politics and barrier-breaking sense of unity. A legendary figure that passed away in June this year, who kicked his knowledge through music. Leroy Rey and mo w/rights cycle through his career, his beliefs and, of course, his music.
