Which feelings do we find bottled in this mix?
I think this mix is a perfect reflection of the weather we’re currently experiencing - warm, positive and cheerful.
What message does the music you play convey?
I’d love the music I play to bring people together and make people have a feeling of freedom and carelessness. That they can just be in the moment and enjoy it in their own way.
How is the mix reflecting your current music taste?
Interestingly enough my taste in music has changed so much over the past two years. When I started deejaying, I mainly played future beats/hiphop and r&b, which I really loved at the time. I also listened to a lot of funk, disco and soul. Then one night I went to Claire’s (RIP) where they played house music all night long, and I thought: This is it! So now I’ve found a way to really creatively express my love for house, soulful and funky music which you can find in this mix.
Who should release a new album/EP already?
I’m not really waiting on anyone to release an album at this moment, to be honest. But if I had to think of one, I’d say Frank Ocean.
If the mix would be a soundtrack, what (kind of) movie/video/audio-visual content would support it best?
The dancing scenes in Black Orpheus (1959).
