Trombonist Lezaam Beets has been living and freelancing in Amsterdam Netherlands since 2021 when he moved here to study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. y combining jazz traditions with West African rhythmic languages, the music of Lezaam positions itself within a contemporary, intercultural musical practice. It reflects the ongoing evolution of jazz as a living form - one that absorbs influences, honors its roots, and speaks to present-day questions. T
