ADE 2021 is happening this week! In this guide, you'll find recommendations curated by the Steppin' into Tomorrow's crew. Quality is assured as this is a list of things we'll be attending ourselves, or wish we could. Double bookings and FOMO are a lot harder to manage this year due to all events popping off during daytime.
Night Shift's ADE special has a podcast, panel talk, and a jam session. Steppin' founder Lucas Benjamin will supply the soundtrack for the dancers and Leroy Rey is in the talk. Practical info: Wednesday 13 - 18:00 - 24:00 @ Tolhuistuin
Radio Radio has a stellar and diverse program from Wednesday 'til Sunday. The venue is located in Westerpark, so you can combine it with a wholesome stroll in the park before you head over to one of Amsterdam's cozy clubs.
Practical info: Wed 13 - Sun 17 - 12:00 - 24:00 @ Radio Radio
Steppin' into Tomorrow x Sissi's: Our very own event (yes it's also a plug) with live sets & sit-down sessions with our favorite artists and a walk-in magazine. Read all about it on our blog.
Practical info: Thursday 14 - 12:00 - 24:00 @ Sissi's
Feed is turning their restaurant/sound bar into a club for ADE. Their 5-day program has something for everyone. Find us at Dice on Friday and Feed meets Wax Poetics on Sunday.
Read our in-depth interview with Feed here.
Practical info: Wed - Sun - 12:00 - 24:00 - @ Feed
Doka: Another intimate club with an amazing sound system. On Thursday they have Carista's United Identities showcase with Mixed Feelings DJ's AliA & Lefto as well as our very own QUANZA and favorites Suze Ijó & Sekan. Easily combined with our event at Sissi's if the FOMO takes over - it's only a short walk away.
On Friday, Kamma & Masalo are hosting their feel-good family affair: Brighter Days.
Practical info: Wed - Sun - various times @ Doka
Bureaupunt is hosting their Famirie event at Cinetol, jam-packed with options for every dancer's delight.
Practical info: Friday 15 - 17:00-24:00 @ Cinetol

TNP - Radio TNP & Radio Oedipus present: Cinetol is expanding this year with local radio station Radio Tempo Nao Para hosting 3 rooms with a line up to die for. Gutted I can't make it to this!
Practical info: Saturday 16 - @ Cinetol
Rush Hour: If DJ favorites Antal, Hunee & Kléo weren't enough to excite you about Rush Hour's event, we are hyped like a kid on Christmas Eve to experience Soichi Terada & Arp Frique live at Lofi.
Practical info: Saturday 16 - 14:00 - 24:00 @ Lofi
Breakfast Club: A fresh start with breakfast in the club? Why not! Get up early and rave for 10 hours straight at Radion. Did we mention the line-up is every raver's wet dream? Breakfast Club is one of the few promotors extending the weekend through Monday. (EDIT: The Monday event got cancelled due to dissapointing ticket sales!)
Practical info: Sat 16 - Mon 18 - 6:00 - 16:00 @ Radion
De Nada - upcoming on our Sonic Spaces series, this cozy wine & music bar in Rivierenbuurt has music from Friday 'til Sunday. Shadee (Fri), Tako & Kennedy (Sat) and Marcelo Umana (Sun).
Practical info: Fri 15 - Sun 17 - 18:00 - 00:00 @ De Nada
Want to experience some art as well? Ferry to NDSM early and explore the street art before going to one of the many parties on the old ship wharf, like DGTL where you can see Honey Dijon & local legend Kléo on one of the bigger events programmed this week.
Practical info: Thursday 14 - 16:00 - 24:00 @ NDSM
Festimi: A great mix of local legends and international favorites in a yet-to-be-disclosed-but-undoubtedly-amazing location in Amsterdam Noord. What more could you possibly ask for?
Practical info: Sunday 12:00 - 24:00 @ De Werf
Bret: Day parties were happening at Bret way before the Dutch government invented the 12 o'clock rule. I'm a bit sad I won't be able to make it to the Friday event but wouldn't mind brunchtime with Bastienne, Mahabe, DJ Overdose & others.
Practical info: Thu 14 - Sun 17 @ Bret
murmur: Amsterdam Noord's newest listening bar is hosting a variety of crews from Thursday 'til Sunday.
Practical info: Thu 14 - Sun 17 - 12/14:00 - 24:00 @ murmur

Lovelee: A variety of parties in the old Sugar Factory club. There's a tree inside, lots of neon signs adorned with performers of all colors, shapes & sizes dancing to Disco & House.
Practical info: Thu 14 - Sat 16 - 18:00 - 24:00 @ Lovelee
Good Music Vinyl Market: Too much partying on Friday and no energy left? Revitalize in Volkshotel's lobby (or rooftop jacuzzi's) and browse through a dozen private seller's records.
Practical info: Saturday 16 @ Volkshotel
Seawolf Records: One of my favorite record stores & digging spots does their usual 5 day ADE vinyl market! Don't spend too much & enjoy their DJ line-up as well.
Tip: Check out their 23k+ strong Discogs-store before you head over.
Practical info: Wed 13 - Sun 17 - 12:00 - 19:00 @ Seawolf Records

Food & Drinks
With all this dancing, you might forget that you need to get in your calories instead of just sweating them all away!
- nNea - Best Napolitan pizza in town.
- Cornerstore - Amazing vegetarian (and non-vegetarian) food-sharing experience, with a hi-fisoundsystem to set the mood.
- Bakers & Roasters - Perfect brunch spot to start your party day, try the bloody mary and reserve a spot on the waitlist online to skip waiting in line.
- Canvas for dinner and/or drinks with one of the best views overlooking the city AND our very own Shady Lady & Mo Wrights on decks Friday and Saturday! Start your day right in Volkshotel's rooftop restaurant (Amsterdam East).
- Pamela: Disco Fries, Sissy Boy Dips or Pam's Rum Punch? Great vegetarian food on this canal-side Queer bar & restaurant. You won't know what to pick from their playful & punny menu.
- Febo - short on time but looking for a snack? Try the Dutch classic - a 'broodje kroket' at one of their wall-snack bars all over the city.
Enjoy the ADE daytime madness and maybe see you on or around the dancefloor!
