Which feelings do we find bottled in this mix?
Appreciation of the past, translations to the present, and hope for the future. Moreover, bottled-up energy longing for our dancefloors, which resulted in a mix way clubbier and longer than anticipated.
What message does the music you play convey?
Spread happiness and inspire!
How is the mix reflecting your current music taste?
It displays some of my favourite (fusion) jazz which I love to listen to at home to relax. Some disco that always cheers me up, and plenty of club-oriented music I always listen to, in the broadest sense of the word. It does miss some of my hip-hop and R&B influences since I recorded this in isolation during NYE, so I was in a party mood :)
Who should release a new album/EP already?
Kendrick! I would love that.
What's magical about music?
The way it connects people. Music is responsible for some of my happiest moments and for so many friendships I made. It's magic!
What is your main source for finding new music?
Streaming services, Bandcamp, social media, Discogs.
If the mix would be a soundtrack, what (kind of) movie/video/audio-visual content would support it best?
It's the soundtrack to a romantic dinner, flowing into the night with increasing momentum and full of explorative desires. Celebrating life.
