A special guest-mix series where DJs are invited to create a soundtrack for tomorrow's days. Next up: Peach Fuzz is a longtime music head with a deep love for house and electronic sounds. For over a decade he’s been digging records, exploring every shade of house and beyond, while building a heavy vinyl collection. Behind the decks and in the studio, he blends drum machines, hardware synths, and live percussion into his own groove. And when he’s not making or spinning music, you’ll find him on the dance floor, staying connected to the vibe as a house dancer.

Every Mixed Feelings podcast is accompanied by a few questions that provide a little insight into the DJ and the mix they've prepared for us and for you.
Which feelings do we find bottled in this mix?
I wanted to capture the atmosphere of a warm summer night—the kind that begins on a terrace with friends, easygoing and full of promise, before naturally unfolding into a real night out, whether at a house party or in a club. It’s about that unique energy only summer nights can bring.
I also aimed to give the mix a sense of live performance, where the musicality is present and felt. I didn’t want it to be just another club set. That’s why the first 30 minutes feature records I could never play in a club, but that deserve their own moment in the spotlight.
As the night deepens, the mix leans into a more soulful, early-night energy—music that isn’t strictly for the club, but carries warmth and emotion (like the Full Expansion mix of Needs, or the original version by Osunlade, for example).
It's also just an excuse for me to dig into my own vinyl collection, to find that B side I would never play otherwise!
What message does the music you play convey?
Since I mostly play house, it's a lot about connections. It carries warmth, groove, and a sense of togetherness. And as a dj, storytelling should be at the core of every selecta, to curate a space for people to feel present, joyful, and free.
How is the mix reflecting your current music taste?
This mix doesn’t capture the full scope of my music taste—it’s too broad for that—but it does reflect where I am right now. Since I started dancing house about four years ago, I’ve been drawn back to the roots of the genre: the soulful side, the kind that deeply connects to Black music and its culture. At the same time, I still have a strong love for other subgenres, and I try to blend them into my mixes in a way that feels coherent and natural for the listener. In that sense, this mix is like a patchwork of influences and inspirations, put together to form a unified whole.
Who should release a new album/EP already?
Dj Sports. A second album following what he with Modern Species would be amazing. And a repress of that first album would be appreciated too :)
What's magical about music?
It’s simple: music connects people across differences, through place and time. I’m always amazed when a track from 50 years ago gives me chills, knowing that someone back then felt the same, and that someone else 50 years from now will feel it too.
What is your main source for finding new music?
Streaming services, Bandcamp, Social Media, 🏴☠️ *Pirate noises* 🏴☠️, YouTube and its horrible algorithm, Discogs, recordshops (on and offline) and mixes from soundcloud of course
If the mix would be a soundtrack, what (kind of) movie/video/audio-visual content would support it best?
I don't have the biggest cinematographic culture but I'd say a "slice of life" movie. One that focuses on ordinary, everyday life experiences, showing the rhythms of life in a realistic way.
